Indianapolis Colts safety Hunter Wohler, a 2021 graduate of Muskego High School, was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Monday with a Lisfranc injury in his foot.

Wohler, a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, suffered the injury during the team’s second preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 16.

It had been a promising start to the rookie’s NFL career, as he led the Colts with nine total tackles (six solo) in his first action against the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 7. Wohler, 22, registered two tackles against the Packers before exiting with the injury.

Meanwhile, Wohler’s former college teammate Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chimere Dike could be in line to be the team’s primary return man after the release of James Proche on Tuesday.

The 2020 graduate of Waukesha North was selected with the first pick of the fourth round in the 2025 NFL draft after spending his final collegiate season with Florida. He had a pair of receptions during the preseason.

Dike, 23, started at wide receiver as a freshman with the Badgers and spent four years in Madison before transferring to Florida, where he served as the Gators’ primary punt returner.

Dike (6-1, 195) was a two-time first-team all-conference selection in the Classic 8 and the Al Toon Award winner as Wisconsin’s top senior wide receiver in 2019 before graduating a semester early from North, where he was also a standout in basketball and track and field.
