CINCINNATI (WKRC) – While the Bengals have never won a Super Bowl (and have obvious question marks on defense) that didn’t deter one gambler from reportedly making a big bet on them to win this year’s title.
According to Yahoo.com, a bettor at BetMGM wagered $50,000 on the Bengals at 20-1 odds to win Super Bowl LX. That would mean $1 million if the Bengals accomplish the feat for the first time in franchise history.
The Bengals currently are tied for the seventh-best odds to win Super Bowl LX at BetMGM, but have the fourth-best odds of any AFC team behind the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills (both 7-1 co-favorites) and the Kansas City Chiefs (8-1).
The bet is reportedly tied for the second-highest return on a Super Bowl LX future wager at a legal sportsbook. A gambler bet $25,000 on the Las Vegas Raiders at DraftKings that will return $2.5 million, since the Raiders are 100-1 longshots. Another bettor placed a $10,000 wager on the Raiders with Draft Kings at the same odds of 100-1 to win $1 million.
