The Clayton Tune era is over in Arizona. After the Arizona Cardinals cut him, he did not re-sign with the practice squad. Instead, he signed with the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad, where he will be the Packers’ third quarterback on the team.
The two quarterbacks on the Packers’ active roster are Jordan Love and Malik Willis.

Tune was a fifth-round pick out of Houston in 2023 and was the Cardinals’ backup the last two seasons. However, with the Cardinals signing Jacoby Brissett, Tune was, at best, going to be relegated to the practice squad.
It is uncertain whether he chose to sign with the Packers over the Cardinals or whether the Cardinals did not offer him a spot on their practice squad.
Now the Cardinals need a new third quarterback. We will see probably on Thursday who is the guy they sign for the practice squad.
In two seasons with the Cardinals, Tune appeared in six games, starting once. He has 70 career passing yards and two career interceptions. He does have one rushing touchdown in his career.
