Jones returns to the Bears, where he spent three years before signing with the Cardinals.
Almost all the players the Arizona Cardinals placed on waivers Tuesday to trim their roster down to 53 players went unclaimed. Many of them were re-signed to the practice squad.
Only one player was claimed. That was cornerback Jaylon Jones.
Jones returns to the Chicago Bears. They claimed him on waivers, so if the Cardinals wanted him back for the practice squad, they missed out.
Jones had signed with the Cardinals as a free agent this offseason after spending three seasons with the Bears. He was a restricted free agent, but the Bears did not tender him a qualifying offer.
He now occupies a spot on their 53-man roster.
