The Carolina Panthers have officially filled out their initial practice squad for the 2025 campaign.

As announced on Thursday, the team has now added their final five more members to the group—quarterback Hendon Hooker, running back DeeJay Dallas, wide receiver Ainias Smith, defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy and cornerback Kalen King.

Hooker was a 2023 third-round pick of the Detroit Lions. The 2022 SEC Offensive Player of the Year appeared in three games in 2024 and four this past preseason, where he completed 22 of his 40 throws for 187 yards and three interceptions.

Dallas, the most seasoned pro of the four, has played five NFL seasons. He’s rushed for 517 yards and four touchdowns over 121 career attempts.

Smith and King, both of whom were selected on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL draft, are now in their second seasons.

Crumedy, Carolina’s sixth-round pick from the 2024 draft, is back after being waived on Wednesday. To make room for his return, the Panthers released cornerback Shemar Bartholomew.
