The Arizona Cardinals made the roster moves that were expected after trimming their roster to 53 players. Long snapper Aaron Brewer returns.

The Cardinals placed defensive lineman Justin Jones on injured reserve and re-signed Brewer, who was cut Tuesday.

Jones, who played only three games last season because of a triceps tear, has dealt with a knee injury for a few weeks. The Cardinals carried him on the 53-man roster so that he could be eligible to return. He must miss at least the first four games of the season.

Brewer was always going to be brought back. He is entering his 10th season as the team’s long snapper. His release was a procedural thing to be able to keep other players on the roster.
