NFL fans are disappointed in Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix after an old photo surfaced of him with controversial conservative personality Charlie Kirk.
Bo Nix is coming off one of the most impressive quarterback rookie seasons in recent NFL memory, throwing 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and helped Denver to its first playoff appearance in nine years.
Unlike many other high-profile athletes, Nix has stayed clear of publicly discussing politics, probably not wanting to upset a large portion of his fanbase.
But an old photo of Nix hanging out with well-known Donald Trump supporter and right-wing conservative commentator Charlie Kirk has gone viral. Though it’s not at all an indicator of Nix’s political beliefs, many fans were unhappy with the star quarterback:

“why are they upset over Bo Nix taking a picture with a horse,” another wrote.
“Why does Charlie Kirk look like he’s being held at gunpoint, for this photo? 😂,” wrote a fan.
“Cj stroud would never,” a fan said.
“Dude on the left has a Beavis and Butthead thing going on,” wrote another.
Kirk has spread plenty of COVID-19 misinformation and delivered countless statements regarded as racist, sexist and homophobic. He became more controversial before the Jan. 6, 2021 attacks, when he said he was sending over 80 buses to fight for Donald Trump. The tweet was later deleted, per DailyDot.com.
Bo Nix Looks To Build Off Superb Rookie Season
Expectations were low for the Broncos heading into 2024, but Nix proved to be the perfect fit to run Sean Payton’s offense. But winning in the NFL means increased expectations, and the Broncos won’t fly under the radar this time around.
They added Talanoa Hufanga, Dre Greenlaw and Jahdae Barron to bolster an already-prolific defense led by reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II. With Evan Engram, JK Dobbins, rookie running back RJ Harvey and rookie wideout Pat Bryant headlining the newcomers on offense, the peices are there for Nix to to push the Broncos to Super Bowl status.
