The Indianapolis Colts are bringing back rookie draft pick and defensive tackle Tim Smith to their practice squad, the team announced.

Smith, a sixth-round pick this past April, originally made the Colts‘ 53-man roster but was released on Wednesday to make room for linebacker Chad Muma, who was claimed on waivers.

After Smith cleared waivers, he was free to sign wherever he pleased and rejoined the Colts on their practice squad.
