One of the most stunning trades in NFL history went down on Thursday afternoon. Months into a contract dispute with owner Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys traded superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark, and 2026 and 2027 first-round selections. The Packers then signed Parsons to a historic four-year, $188 million contract extension.
The deal takes arguably the most difficult pass-rushing opponent off the Las Vegas Raiders‘ 2025 schedule.

The Raiders are slated to host the Cowboys at Allegiant Stadium in Week 11. Offensive tackles Kolton Miller and DJ Glaze will be thrilled to see Parsons removed from that matchup. The Raiders don’t play the Packers this year, so Parsons is now off their schedule altogether.
The Cowboys are also significantly less talented at EDGE following their decision to trade Parsons. Dante Fowler Jr. and Sam Williams are the veteran pass rushers on the roster. Marshawn Kneeland is entering his sophomore season, and the Cowboys selected Donovan Ezeiruaku at No. 44 overall during the 2025 NFL draft.
The Raiders will appreciate their chances of keeping a clean pocket for veteran quarterback Geno Smith to operate from. The Parsons trade is legitimately one of the more stunning NFL transactions in recent memory. The Raiders will directly benefit from the Cowboys’ ineptness by removing Parsons from their schedule.
