The Minnesota Vikings have overhauled their roster while maintaining unique flexibility in their salary cap.
Not many teams have been able to achieve that, but the work of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has not gone unnoticed by Vikings fans despite the national media playing catch-up in recent months. He was very busy last year in free agency and in the draft, and then repeated that in free agency again this offseason. While he was not as active in the draft this year, he has a roster that is arguably one of the best in the NFL, and NFC North reporter Carmen Vitali is offering some major praise.

“They’ve pretty much QB-proofed their team…the defense, if it wasn’t downright scary last year, it’s insane now.”
Vitali also adds that she believes they are the one team in the NFC North who can take down the Lions as they turn to J.J. McCarthy. It is always good news to hear that they have quarterback-proofed their roster before turning over to a first-time starter. However, we have yet to see how he will respond to the defenses he will face in Detroit, Green Bay, and Chicago.
We will know who they start the season against when the NFL announces the schedule on May 14.
