It’s been three years since Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce broke up with ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.
And in the years since, the 33-year-old social media influencer has been asked nearly every time she does an interview with a news or media outlet about her past relationship with Kelce, which has forged the opinion for some fans that Nicole can’t stop talking about her ex.
While some believe that Nicole is still obsessed with the 10-time Pro Bowler, she maintains that she just wants to move on with her life and not keep being referred to as “Kelce’s ex.”
During a recent appearance on the “Second Wind” podcast, Nicole addressed the seemingly never-ending discussion about Kelce and her past relationship, to which she had some strong feelings, though she never mentioned Kelce by name.

“People will always say, ‘Get over it,’ which is so interesting,” Nicole said. “And to them I’d say, ‘You too.’ … Life handed me lemons and I made a lemon martini out of it and that upsets people.”
Nicole caught some attention last year when she addressed Kelce’s current relationship with pop star Taylor Swift on Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast.
She alleged that Swift was the reason she and Kelce no longer spoke to each other, which brought a lot of backlash her way on social media. The incident was so bad that Nicole said her mom encouraged her to stop talking Kelce publicly.
But while that part of Nicole’s life has brought a lot negativity her way, she also admits that it’s helped her learn a lot about herself as well.
“It’s a chapter in my story, and in a lot of ways, I think it was a catalyst to a lot of great change and motivation and self-help in my life,” Nicole added. “I started going to therapy because of what I went through, and I think that drastically changed the way I navigated the world.”
