Labor Day weekend brings a football feast, as we have at least one college game every single day from Thursday to Monday. It’s one of the greatest holidays of all! And this holiday weekend, the draft stock market is open. We have one prospect you should buy, and another that you should sell.

Stock Down: Dontay Corleone, DL Cincinnati

Cincy lost to Nebraska in what was the biggest game on Thursday night, the first day of week one. With a national spotlight available, at a time when the hunger for college football is at its highest, Corleone had the perfect opportunity to make his mark. The game broadcast even referenced his fantastic nickname, “The Godfather.”

He didn’t present like a guy who could “make an offer they can’t refuse,” and more like a Fredo. His final box score showed one tackle, and then a bunch of goose eggs.

It was disappointing for a guy who appears on most top 100 prospects lists.

Stock Up: Gabe Jacas, EDGE, Illinois

We have certainly written about this guy a lot, and with good reason. As we highlighted here, here and here, he’s a very disruptive force with a penchant for getting into opposing backfields, early and often.

Sure, he faced a FCS offensive line in the season opener, but his stat line was insane. Five tackles (four solo), two sacks, two and a half tackles for a loss, a fumble recovery and a pass defended, in just the first half!

Under the Friday Night Lights, you saw how Jacas doesn’t just excel, he makes everyone else around him better. While “The Waterboy” is not really a football movie that you want to remember, for any reason, Jacas dominated the game from DE position like Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler’s character).
