It’s no secret that the Pacific Northwest and especially our state have some really special and historic town names whose pronunciation is so unique that it can even trip up lifelong residents.

For folks that are just moving to the area? It can be jarring to try and say those town names for the first time.

Now, once you hear them, you often don’t forget them. And that theory was proven as we put it to the test this week.

Because while we talk about how the town names can really trip up newcomers to the area, the Seahawks have plenty of them all over the field.

It’s not just a revamped offense, it’s the idea that the Seahawks have new players via the draft and free agency.

So in an effort to get them ready to spend however long it is that they will here in the Seattle area, we quizzed them (and in some cases, educated them) on how to say some special city names in the PNW. With a little help from someone who knows them very well.
