A jersey made for Buffalo and Bills Mafia

While the snowy, icy textures on the uniform set the stage for a winter-themed appearance, two crucial details tie it all together to make it uniquely Buffalo.

First is ‘B-U-F-F-A-L-O’ spelled out above the numbers on the front plate of the jersey instead of ‘B-I-L-L-S’. It’s the first uniform in franchise history that recognizes the city on the instead of the team’s name.

“This is a story about our city and our region, so we decided to lean into the word Buffalo. We’ve never done that. It was an obvious choice, and it was a way to celebrate our city,” LaPorta said.

One final touch that won’t be visible to fans on game day but will be visible to Bills players is the wording ‘Bills Mafia’ stitched on the inside.

“That’s really a tribute to our fans… when it’s freezing and cold and all that you know the fans are there. Bills Mafia is there,” LaPorta said. “It was important to us to honor them.”
