RAYMOND — Fillmore Central started the year off on the wrong foot, as they fell in an early 21-0 hole after the first quarter of the season Friday night at Raymond Central.
Things did not get much better as the night wore on, as the Mustangs rolled to the 42-7 win.
The Panthers’ defense had no answers for Raymond Central quarterback Wyatt Jelinek, who was 6 of 9 through the air for 129 yards and a pair of TDs and ran 14 times for 191 yards and another three scores.
Fillmore Central, meanwhile, could not muster much offensively.
Preston Komenda was 6 of 16 for 44 yards and two picks. The Panthers did run for 117 yards as a team but needed 30 carries to do so.
Max Aguilera was the top back with 56 yards on seven totes.
