The Los Angeles Rams overcame a terrible 1-4 start last season and made it all the way to the divisional round of the playoffs. They came close to beating the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, too, putting together a fourth-quarter drive in the snow that nearly got them into the end zone for a game-winning touchdown.

They exceeded outside expectations in 2024 but with the core back for this season and several offseason additions expected to make big contributions, the bar has been raised. And Kurt Warner thinks they have a chance to clear it.

Warner was asked by TMZ Sports about the Rams’ outlook and he thinks they have a “great shot” to win it all.

“I think they’ve got a great shot this year,” Warner said. “I think their defense is young and talented. You bring over Davante (Adams) to go with Puka (Nacua) and Matthew (Stafford) and Coach (Sean) McVay. I think their defense sky’s the limit. We saw last year in the playoffs, they gave the Eagles maybe the biggest run of anybody out there.”

The biggest question mark with the Rams is probably Stafford’s back. It was an issue all offseason and though he’s seemingly good to go for Week 1, it remains to be seen if he can stay healthy all year.

“So much depends on the quarterback so let’s hope Matthew stays healthy, but when he does, he’s special,” Warner added.

Warner was asked if he really thinks the Rams have a chance to win it all, and he confirmed that belief by also looking around the NFC and seeing a bunch of teams capable of chasing the Eagles down.

“I do,” he said. “You look around the NFC, I still think the Eagles may be the most overall talented team, but I think there’s a number of other teams, including the Rams, that have got a shot.”

No one should count out the Rams when they’re healthy. Sean McVay is an outstanding coach and gets the most out of his players no matter what, and Stafford is a winner when he’s on the field. As long as they don’t get bitten by the injury bug, they’ll be in good shape come December and January.
