Former USC Trojans linebacker Easton Mascarenas-Arnold made the Cleveland Browns’ 53 man roster as a UDFA. This is an impressive feat for an undrafted guy. It’s a huge opportunity for him, due to the fact that the Browns have had struggles maintaining competent and consistent linebacker play.

Last season with the Trojans Easton Mascarenas-Arnold put up 95 total tackles, 5 tfls, 3 sacks, and 2 interceptions in 13 games. He was a consistent player for the Oregon State Beavers consistently playing 13 games almost every season in his 3 year tenure. Had a phenomenal season in 2023 with the Beavers posting up 107 tackles, 7 tfls, 2 sacks, and 2 interceptions.

In the final 2 preseason games Arnold was all over the field for the Browns posting up 5+ tackles in both contests. The Browns just drafted highly touted linebacker Carson Schwesinger who is expected to be the new leader of the defense and by all accounts he has been as advertised.

The Browns could have their two linebackers of the future with Schwesinger and potentially now UDFA Easton Mascarenas-Arnold. If Arnold does not see the field as much with the starting defense we should expect the former Trojan to make a name for himself on special teams.
