UTICA — The Centennial boys kicked off the 2025 season in front of their hometown fans, but it was visiting David City who left town with the win on the gridiron by a 54-20 tally.

Parker Perry completed 35 of 53 yards for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but the sophomore was also picked off four times in the loss.

He didn’t have a lot of help from the Centennial run game as the Broncos had just 29 yards on 18 carries. Van Choma was the leading rusher with 22 yards on four totes.

Owen Naber was the top target through the air, hauling in 10 passes for 92 yards. Choma added 14 receptions for 62 yards, while Kade McFadden had five for 29 and a score. 

Cooper Stelling added five catches for 24 yards and a touchdown and Kyle Keith’s lone reception was a 15-yard score.

Defensively, Cael Payne netted 15 tackles, followed by seven each from Choma and Evan Crawford. Crawford also had four tackles for loss and three sacks.
