With their final pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions have selected Georgia wide receiver Dominic Lovett.
Lovett is the team’s third pick from the University of Georgia, joining second-round pick (guard) Tate Ratledge, and other seventh-round pick Dan Jackson (safety).
Lovett is a slot receiver, standing at 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds. He played two years at Missouri, totalling 82 catches for 1,019 yards and three touchdowns. After entering the transfer portal and joining Georgia, he had two solid years of production:
2023: 54 catches, 613 yards, 4 TDs
2024: 59 catches, 607 yards, 6 TDs
Last year, he led the Bulldogs in catches and receiving touchdowns.
Lovett has 4.4 speed and special teams experience. He’ll compete for one of the last wide receivers spots on the roster. Currently, the top of their depth chart includes Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Tim Patrick, Kalif Raymond, and third-round pick Isaac Teslaa.
