Over half of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2024 NFL draft class is no longer on the team just one year later.

Under new GM James Gladstone, the Jaguars experienced heavy roster turnover this offseason. In fact, of the Jaguars’ current 53-man roster, only 29 of those players were on the team in 2024.

Gladstone didn’t set out this offseason with a certain percentage of roster turnover that he wanted to have take place as part of his transition. As he said last Wednesday, that happened organically–and there was obviously quite a bit of it.

The 2024 draft was Trent Baalke’s final as general manager and included the Jaguars making nine total draft picks. Now, with the 2025 regular season upon us, five of those players are no longer on the team.

Running back Keilan Robinson was released earlier this offseason. Then, during roster cutdowns, the Jaguars moved on from offensive tackle Javon Foster, defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson, cornerback De’Antre Prince, and defensive end Myles Cole.

None of these players have been signed back to the practice squad either, and all of them ended up being squeezed out by new additions that Gladstone made to the roster.

It’s very rare to see a team move on from that many young, drafted players so quickly.

With that said, there’s still a lot of good that came from this draft class as well. As we know, Brian Thomas Jr. was the Jaguars’ first-round pick in 2024.

Jarrian Jones may be starting once again at cornerback, while Cam Little is quickly emerging as one of the better kickers in football. The Jaguars also hope that Maason Smith can take a big step forward in Year 2.
