The Atlanta Falcons are signing outside linebacker Ronnie Perkins to their 16-man practice squad, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Perkins, a former third-round draft pick, signed with the Falcons’ 90-man roster during training camp but was released on cut day.

The 25-year-old was drafted by the New England Patriots back in 2021 but has limited experience. Perkins played in all seven of his career games during the 2023 season, recording 13 tackles (nine solo).

The Falcons already had 16 players on their practice squad but kicker Lenny Krieg doesn’t count against the total since he’s in the NFL’s International Player Pathway program.

Others on the practice squad include wide receiver Nick Nash, cornerback Cobee Bryant and quarterback Easton Stick. All but two of the 16 practice squad members were on the Falcons’ roster at some point during training camp.
