Several Jaguars players changed their jersey numbers following roster cutdowns.
Following roster cutdowns this past week, several Jacksonville Jaguars players have switched their jersey numbers ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
With the Jaguars roster being trimmed from 90 players down to 53, some additional jersey numbers were open.
Wide receiver Tim Patrick, whom the Jaguars traded for recently, will wear No. 17, the team announced.
Linebacker Dennis Gardeck will be No. 47, and defensive tackle Khalen Saunders is now No. 96.
Defensive end Dawuane Smoot is wearing No. 98, and defensive tackle Austin Johnson is No. 99.
Prior to the number change, Smoot was No. 58. Gardeck was No. 57, and Saunders was No. 68. Johnson, meanwhile, was previously No. 69.
On the practice squad, tight end Patrick Herbert is now No. 88, while newcomers, wide receiver Erik Ezukanma and defensive tackle Matt Dickerson, will wear No. 89 and No. 93, respectively.
