WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – After wrapping up a weekend series against the Texas Rangers at Sutter Health Park on Sunday afternoon, the A’s prepared to head to the Sacramento airport to fly to St. Louis for a series against the Cardinals.

But they left the ballpark dressed as football players, not baseball players.

With the NFL regular season beginning later this week, A’s players wore their favorite NFL jerseys on their flight to Missouri.

“I got (Baltimore Ravens wide receiver) Zay Flowers,” smiled A’s shortstop Jacob Wilson. “Big old Baltimore fan…I have a couple Lamar Jackson jerseys back home, so I was hoping not to be able to get another one so I ended up getting Zay Flowers.

“Got a couple of them back home now.”
