A new concerning video has surfaced of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers ahead of the Week 1 opener against the New York Jets.
After failing to re-sign Justin Fields and trading for Matthew Stafford, the Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers to a one-year contract worth $13.65 million. The deal also carries an additional $5.85 million in incentives.
Two weeks after signing a contract with Pittsburgh, Rodgers indicated that he’ll retire after the 2025 season. The four-time MVP and Super Bowl 45 champion will celebrate his 42nd birthday on Dec. 2.
Cassidy Wood of KDKA posted a video of Aaron Rodgers and the Steeler offense running some throwing drills ahead of Sunday’s showdown with Fields and the Jets at MetLife Stadium.
And, well, let’s just say that Rodgers certainly looks like his age when it comes to running speed. At least in this video:
Rodgers was one of five big-name veteran additions by the Steelers this offseason, along with All-Pro cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay, superstar wide receiver DK Metcalf and Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith.

The Steelers haven’t had a losing season under Mike Tomlin, a remarkable feat considering how lackluster Pittsburgh’s quarterback production has been since 2019. Consider that none of their quarterbacks have thrown 20-plus touchdowns in a season in three straight years.
Say what you want about a 41-year-old Rodgers and his forgettable stint with the Jets, but he’s an upgrade over a washed-up Ben Roethlisberger and the likes of Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett and Russell Wilson.
Rodgers will work with a Hall of Fame-caliber coach, a dynamic offense led by Metcalf, Smith and Jaylen Warren and a potential top-five defense. All Rodgers has to do is play like a game manager for the Steelers to compete for a championship, because the ground game and defense can do the bulk of the heavy lifting.
