The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city that hosts a team, the Steelers, with whom the Vikings will play in Dublin this season. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft.

CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle. In a somewhat surprising move, the Vikings were given Auburn center Connor Lew. The seasoned center from the SEC has been in a plethora of offenses, so he has shown flexibility, but it remains a unique pick for the Vikings.

Wilson writes, “Lew just turned 20 years old in September and he already looks like a 10-year NFL veteran. He’s a run-game technician who can also win with athleticism and power — a rare player who reminds me of Zach Frazier coming out of West Virginia a few years ago.”

The team just signed veteran Ryan Kelly to a two-year deal, but there is money to be saved if the team feels things are not working out over the next year.

The team has shown they prioritize the interior offensive line after the complete overhaul they did this offseason. They have one first-round pick already invested in Donovan Jackson. Could another in Lew join him?
