The San Francisco 49ers have released their unofficial depth chart for Week 1 as they prepare to face the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. While the team shared the chart, it is considered unofficial since it was compiled by the 49ers Communications staff rather than the coaching staff.

There are few surprises, but several notable takeaways. On offense, Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall are listed as the starting wide receivers, while Ben Bartch takes the starting spot at left guard as expected.

Defensively, rookie Mykel Williams is slotted in as the starting defensive end opposite Nick Bosa, with Kalia Davis and Jordan Elliott anchoring the defensive tackle positions. Bryce Huff and Yetur Gross-Matos are set to provide depth as the backup edge rushers.

At linebacker, Fred Warner and Dee Winters are listed as the starting Mike and Will linebackers, with Luke Gifford holding down the Sam role.

One of the more intriguing notes is at cornerback, where rookie Upton Stout is listed as the starting nickel corner despite missing time with a calf injury. However, he showed enough to land the job. In the secondary, Jason Pinnock and Ji’Ayir Brown are slated as the starting safeties.

On special teams, wide receiver Skyy Moore is listed as the punt returner, while rookie running back Isaac Guerendo will handle kickoff returns.
