The Seattle Seahawks will roll out a retooled look on offense in 2025, and the defense may be better than anticipated. This will be the second season under new head coach Mike Macdonald, who won 10 games in his first year but still missed the NFC playoffs.
Heading into the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers at home on Sunday, Sept. 7, the Seahawks are ready to unfurl a new offense under a new coordinator (Klint Kubiak) and a new quarterback (Sam Darnold). Longtime wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett are gone, along with veteran tight end Noah Fant.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be elevated to the No. 1 WR role, and former Rams star Cooper Kupp will also be a featured pass catcher while Kubiak installs more of a run-based offense. The defense may be a bigger strength, which is to be expected under Macdonald.
We take a look at the best Seattle Seahawks futures wagers for 2025 and highlight our favorite value wagers to put down.

We are not going to tell you to waste money on Seattle winning the Super Bowl or the NFC, and they are not quite a top contender in the NFC West. However, wagering on them to finish fourth in the division goes against recent history, as the Seahawks have finished last one time since 2000.
The conservative futures play that still returns a positive payout is for Seattle to finish in third place. If LA QB Matthew Stafford and San Francisco RB Christian McCaffrey stay healthy, the Rams and 49ers might occupy the top two spots in the NFC West.
If the running game executes well behind a possibly improved offensive line that features top rookie guard Grey Zabel and right tackle Abe Lucas, who is no longer sidelined, and Darnold plays better in key spots, Seattle has the upside to snare an NFC Wild Card berth.
The Seahawks should be better than a 7.5-win team, and I would wager at least two units on that futures market. You can also consider alternate win totals, as they are a good bet to win 9-10 games, as the defense will be heavily responsible for success.
For Walker, it’s about staying available. He has not rushed for 1,000 yards in two of his three NFL seasons, but a career year could be ahead in the Kubiak offense. Walker remains the No. 1 running back for Seattle, and he is a tenacious and explosive runner when he is in a good rhythm.
Seattle Seahawks futures best bets for 2025 season
Here are the best Seahawks futures bets to place before the season begins.
Over 7.5 wins
Best odds: –150 at Fanatics Sportsbook
If you are feeling gutsy, wager three units on this future. The projected win total is just too low, and it’s disrespectful. Seattle won 10 games last season and is not decisively worse this season. I don’t see the Seahawks winning fewer than nine games.
Darnold replaces Geno Smith in what is essentially a lateral move, and the running game and pass protection can be better with Zabel and a healthy Lucas. Defensively, the Seahawks may prove to have one of the better units this season.
The Seattle defense is especially strong up front and in the secondary. The defensive line is anchored by standout Leonard Williams, and second-year man Byron Murphy II may bust out in his second season. DeMarcus Lawrence was also added to the mix.
Cornerback Devon Witherspoon is a do-it-all type who is underrated, and Riq Woolen can function as a top cover corner when he is on his game. Free safety Julian Love is a highly active playmaker, and rookie Nick Emmanwori might be an instant impact defender.
Macdonald didn’t get the offensive results he wanted last season, and it was quickly revised in terms of coaching and key personnel. As successful as Pete Carroll was, the offensive line was a consistent area of concern, and that may no longer be the case. The unit is already undergoing notable changes, as Seattle spent a first-round pick on Zabel and will likely upgrade the unit in the future.
Darnold must prove that last season with Minnesota was no fluke, and while he won’t put up the numbers posted last season, don’t expect him to revert to “seeing ghosts” either. There’s more than enough talent on both sides of the ball to smash this futures wager.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba to finish with over 1,000 receiving yards
Best odds: +110 at bet365 Sportsbook
This is another futures bet to smash with at least two units, if not more. Rarely do I recommend being aggressive on futures wagers, but this one seems as close to a cinch as it gets.
Last season, with Metcalf ahead of him on the depth chart and Lockett still heavily in the passing mix, Smith-Njigba finished with 1,130 receiving yards. Now, as the prime receiving threat, JSN should finish over 1,100 receiving yards again, making soaring past 1,000 yards an easy hurdle to leap over.
The Seattle offense will be tied to the running game, but Darnold and Smith-Njigba developed a good rapport in the preseason, and they will still connect often enough to help you cash out. A strong running attack will open up the passing game more.
JSN should emerge as a versatile all-around WR and be a larger offensive presence. He is crafty in his techniques and can challenge defenses at every level. For those who have followed the Seahawks over the past decade, Smith-Njigba could emerge as a blend of Lockett and Doug Baldwin if he fully taps into his potential.
