The Indianapolis Colts reportedly had several players in for work outs, including four former draft picks.

The Indianapolis Colts worked out veteran running back Boston Scott, according to the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, along with three other former NFL draft picks.

Scott was a sixth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in 2018. He was waived during roster cutdowns that year before being signed to the practice squad.

Late in 2018, the Eagles signed Scott off the New Orleans practice squad and onto their roster, where he then played through the 2023 season.

During that span, Scott carried the ball 324 times, averaging 4.4 yards per rush with 19 touchdowns. His most productive season came in 2021, when he rushed for 407 yards, according to PFF.

Scott also had some opportunities in the passing game–more so early on in his career–hauling in 76 career receptions at 7.9 yards per attempt with a score.

In 2024, Scott originally signed with the LA Rams before being released before cutdowns. He then spent a few weeks on the Pittsburgh practice squad before being released again.

Along with Scott, the Colts also worked out running back Keilan Robinson, safety Richie Grant, and guard Matt Waletzko, according to Aaron Wilson.

Robinson was a fifth-round draft pick in 2024 by Jacksonville. He was released by the Jaguars earlier this offseason. Robinson has since spent time with the Eagles.

Waletzko was a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft and has played 20 regular-season snaps in his career.

Grant, meanwhile, was a second-round draft pick in 2021 and is an experienced player with 2,503 career snaps, playing all over the defensive backfield. Grant has three career interceptions and 11 pass breakups.

Now, these workouts do not mean that a signing is imminent. As GM Chris Ballard described after roster cutdowns, the Colts are going to have players in over the next month or so. Perhaps a signing or two comes of that, but it might not as well.

Around the NFL, it is common practice for teams to have players in as they build out lists of potential players that the Colts could call on at any point in the season if they find themselves in a pinch.Â
