The New Orleans Saints have posted their 2025 NFL Draft class numbers on their website, revealing the numbers of their new rookies.
All numbers are subject to change until the start of the 2025 season.
Kelvin Banks Jr. – 71
First-round pick Kelvin Banks Jr. will be wearing No. 71, last worn by former Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk. Banks wore No. 78 throughout his four seasons in college but will have to make the switch with Saints starting center Erik McCoy occupying that number.
Tyler Shough – 6
Of the Saints rookies, quarterback Tyler Shough had the most questions surrounding his number. Shough wore No. 9 during his final year in college at Louisville and No. 12 at Oregon and Texas Tech. Although No. 9 is available, it is unlikely any player will ever get the opportunity to wear Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees’ number, and No. 12 is occupied by Chris Olave.

Shough was reportedly deciding between No. 6 and No. 18, but encouraging words from legendary Saints punter Thomas Morstead to persuade the team’s rookie quarterback to wear his former number appeared to have worked.

Jonas Sanker – 33
Third-round pick Jonas Sanker will wear the No. 33. Sanker wore No. 20 throughout his college career, but that number is occupied by linebacker Pete Werner.
Vernon Broughton – 91
New Saints defensive tackle Vernon Broughton has chosen No. 91, last worn by Kendal Vickers. Broughton wore No. 45 during his time with the Texas Longhorns, but that number is occupied by Nephi Sewell.
Danny Stutsman – 47
Linebacker Danny Stutsman has settled for No. 47. While his college number—No. 28—is occupied by cornerback Tre Herndon, Stutsmans has opted to pick a number out of the 20s and settle for No. 47, last worn by Khaleke Hudson.

Quincy Riley – 29
Cornerback Quincy Riley will wear jersey No. 29, last worn by standout cornerback Paulson Adebo. Riley wore No. 3 throughout his college career at Louisville, but that number belongs to quarterback Jake Haener. Adebo represented No. 29 pretty well at the cornerback position and Riley will hope to continue his success.
Devin Neal – 30
Running back Devin Neal will wear No. 30, last worn by defensive back Roderic Teamer. Neal wore No. 4 with the Kansas Jayhawks but had to make a switch with quarterback Derek Carr occupying that number.

Moliki Matavao – 80
Seventh-round tight end Moliki Matavao has elected to wear No. 80, last worn by Jermain Jackson. New Orleans has seen success before with 6-foot-8 tight ends wearing No. 80 and hopes their late-round selection can produce. Matavao wore No. 8 with the Oregon Ducks and No. 88 with UCLA.
Fadil Diggs – 40
Defensive lineman Fadil Diggs has chosen to wear No. 40. Diggs will be the first player since 2022 to wear No. 40, last worn by linebacker Chase Hansen. Diggs wore No. 10 with both Texas Tech and Syracuse.
