Atlanta adds Simeon Barrow Jr and Ronnie Perkins to 16-man practice squad.
Not long after releasing their first depth chart of the 2025 NFL season, the Atlanta Falcons announced a few changes to their 16-man practice squad. The team signed defensive lineman Simeon Barrow Jr. and linebacker Ronnie Perkins. In a corresponding move, the Falcons released right tackle Brandon Parker from the practice squad.
Barrow, an undrafted free agent out of Miami, played well in the preseason and was someone fans were hoping to see return after last week’s cut deadline. The Georgia native recorded two tackles (one solo), one sack and one forced fumble in two preseason games.
As for Perkins, the former third-round pick was also among the Falcons’ final roster cuts. He will add depth to the team’s outside linebacker group. NFL insider Jordan Schultz initially reported Perkins’ signing on Monday afternoon.
While these signings bring the team’s practice squad total to 17 players, kicker Lenny Krieg doesn’t count because he was signed via the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. Check out the Falcons’ updated practice squad below.
