Panthers release first depth chart of 2025 regular season

The Carolina Panthers are another step closer to officially kicking off their 2025 campaign.

On Tuesday, the team released their first depth chart ahead of this weekend’s opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The most interesting listing is, perhaps, that of wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. The former Pro Bowler, who was just signed back on Saturday, is expected to start from the slot following the trade of Adam Thielen and the quad strain of Jalen Coker.

Renfrow did not play last year due to ulcerative colitis. His last regular-season snap came for the Las Vegas Raiders back on Jan. 7, 2024.

Carolina has also penciled in rookie running back Trevor Etienne as both the primary kick and punt returner. The 2025 fourth-round pick fielded four kickoffs (20.8 yards per return) and three punts (5.7 yards per return) during the preseason.
