There was concern that the Minnesota Vikings‘ wide receiver room could be thin going into Week 1. Jordan Addison was going to serve a three-game suspension to start the season, and Rondale Moore suffered a season-ending knee injury in the team’s first preseason game.
The room took another hit when Jalen Nailor injured his hand on Aug. 14. That prompted the Vikings to acquire Adam Thielen in a trade in the event that Nailor wouldn’t be ready for Week 1.

But it now looks like Nailor could be ready for the Sept. 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported over the weekend that the Vikings are optimistic that Nailor will be available for the game.
Last year, Nailor caught 28 passes for 414 yards and six touchdowns. He caught touchdowns in each of the first three games of the season, which were played largely without Addison, who was dealing with an ankle injury.
