Local Athlete Extended by Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Valders High School graduate and Whitelaw native Luke Goedeke has received a multi-year extension from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The agreement is for four years and $90 million, with $50 million guaranteed.

Goedeke excelled in athletics at Valders High School, where he played football from 2014 to 2017.

During this time, he was named all-conference three times and received all-EWC honors twice in basketball.

He began his college career playing on the offensive line at UW-Stevens Point, then transferred to Central Michigan, playing for the Chippewas from 2018 to 2021.

Tampa Bay drafted Goedeke in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft, and he’s been a fixture at right tackle ever since.

Goedeke has played 41 games for the Bucs with 31 starts, including four in the playoffs. He was scheduled to become a free agent at the end of this season.
