The Buffalo Bills will kick off their regular season schedule this Sunday night and they’ve got big plans for their halftime show.

Halftime entertainment has changed a lot over the years

Bills fans who used to go to games back in the 90’s may remember that we used to get a whole different halftime show. Back then, halftime was when the Buffalo Jills used to shine. They would have a completely choreographed dance routine to a medley of popular songs that they would get to showcase. Then, when the Buffalo Jills went away, we got marching bands from schools around New York State. A drumline was next.

Now, we get a drone show.

The Buffalo Bills are presenting Sunday Night Lights

The Buffalo Bills have announced that they will be featuring a drone show for halftime entertainment this Sunday night. They’re calling it Sunday Night Lights. It is in partnership with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, and it will be the first-ever drone show at Highmark Stadium. You may remember, they had one scheduled for last season, but unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather concerns.

They anticipate that it will last about 8 minutes, and it will feature “several Bills-themed formations that light up the night sky.”

The weather shouldn’t be an issue this time

As of right now, the forecast for gametime looks pretty good. They’re calling for a partly cloudy and cool night with temperatures falling to around 45. The only thing that might be an issue would be whatever wind we see that night.

The Bills will take on the Baltimore Ravens to kick off the farewell to Highmark Stadium at 8:20 pm on Sunday.
