The Atlanta Falcons listed four players on their first injury report for Sunday’s season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney was one of two players limited at Wednesday’s practice. Mooney has been out for most of training camp due to a shoulder injury, so his status is a good sign heading into Week 1.
Cornerback Clark Phillips III was also limited with a rib injury. Rookie right tackle Jack Nelson and safety DeMarcco Hellams did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Nelson is battling a calf injury while Hellams was held out with a hamstring injury.
