The Arizona Cardinals opened practice Wednesday for Sunday’s season-opening game against the New Orleans Saints. On the initial injury report of the week, only two were players listed.
Prior to practice, head coach Jonathan Gannon said, “You’ll see everybody out there today. We’re good to go (and) healthy.”

Arizona Cardinals injury report: Limited participation
The limited designation for Hernandez can only be seen as a good sign. Placed on active/physically unable to perform (torn ACL in Week 5 last season) for all of training camp after being signed Aug. 7, Hernandez came off PUP in the cut to 53, which cleared him to begin practicing.
Status for practice is based on the “team” portion of practice, not individual drills, so it is presumed that Hernandez has gotten some work in that team part of practice.

Gaines was affected by a thumb injury in training camp that at one point had him wearing a cast. That is gone, and Gaines is expected to be active for Sunday’s game as a backup at both positions.
