(Image via Getty: Shedeur Sanders and Tom Brady) Football Forever recently shared two posts on its Instagram. One with snapshots of seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady and Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The photo collage also featured a tweet from PharoahNFL(Digital Creator for the Las Vegas Raiders), which read: “Ohhhh okay now I know why the #Raiders & Tom Brady didn’t draft QB Shedeur Sanders.” To justify the heavy statement, the second IG post featured a video of the Raiders’ part-owner. Tom Brady is heard saying, “’Cause I think that’s way more intimidating than a quarterback doing his six-shooter guns and pointing up in the crowd and doing all that other bullsh*t that’s very self-promotional, but it’s not about winning.” What else did Brady say? Let’s find out.
Tom Brady finds quarterbacks who do not celebrate touchdowns with their teammates less intimidating
Tom Brady said in the video shared by PharoahNFL on X and Football Forever on Instagram that he always celebrated a touchdown with his teammates. And that whenever a quarterback celebrates a touchdown, he watches where the quarterback goes to celebrate. It should not be a self-promotional celebration but a team celebration. “Because football is the ultimate team, and even in this broadcasting role, that’s what I look for all the time. When a quarterback throws a touchdown pass, I actually watch to see who he goes and celebrates with. Because what did I do? I looked for my offensive lineman every time. I went down and celebrated in the end zone with my teammates every time.I wanted everyone to feel like they were part of the success.I told the linemen, we’re all running into the end zone and we’re celebrating as a team. Cause I think that’s way more intimidating than a quarterback doing his six-shooter guns and pointing up in the crowd and doing all that other bullsh*t that’s very self-promotional, but it’s not about winning. And I think winning in football is about a team, always a team attitude first,” Brady said.
