Los Angeles Rams receiver Davante Adams has earned a lot of praise during his 12 years in the league. He’s been recognized as one of the elite receivers of his generation and could break some NFL milestones in 2025.
A championship-winning defensive back also recognized his ability. Former New England Patriots safety Duron Harmon, who won three Super Bowls from 2014 to 2018, told Pro Football Network that Adams was among his “Mount Rushmore” of NFL wide receivers.

“Quick like a cat, faster than what you would think. Elite, elite hands,” he said. “… Just mastered the ability of playing receiver.”
Adams’ route-running technique has been a focal point of his rise among the NFL’s best. He’s explained what he does best in the past and even helped Rams teammate Puka Nacua hone his skills as the young receiver enters Year 3.
Adams faced Harmon four times (twice when the safety player for New England and twice when he played for the Detroit Lions) and totaled 22 receptions for 312 yards and two touchdowns in those games. Needless to say, Harmon had a good look at Adams in his prime.
The 34-year-old safety officially retired from the NFL this year.
