Laketran officials announced this week that tickets are now available for the second season of the agency’s Sports Express, a convenient, “hassle-free” bus service that transports fans directly to all Cleveland Browns home games.
Following a successful launch last year, the service is returning to provide Lake County residents with a more affordable way to reach Huntington Bank Field.
Round-trip fares are $15 per person, and buses will depart from the Mentor Park-n-Ride, located at 8650 Market St., two hours before kickoff.
Buses drop fans off near the stadium at the northeast corner of St. Clair Ave. and E. 9th St., and return buses depart 45 minutes after the final whistle.
Laketran previously operated a similar service from 1985 to 2006, catering to fans of both the Browns and the then-Cleveland Indians.
This season, Laketran is also offering a 20 percent discount for groups of three or more, “making it easier than ever to ride with family and friends.”
Building on the popularity of Browns game-day service, Laketran is expanding Sports Express this year to include select weekend Cleveland Cavaliers home games.
Fans can avoid the hassle of driving and parking downtown and enjoy the same easy round-trip ride to Rocket Arena, officials noted.
“We’re thrilled to bring back Sports Express and add Cavs games this year,” said Laketran CEO Ben Capelle. “Whether you’re heading downtown for football or basketball, this service takes the stress out of game day and lets fans focus on the fun.”
