We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals, and that is less than a week away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is two days away.
As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let’s look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals.

Who has worn No. 2?
Cardinals players to wear No. 2
Linebacker Mack Wilson is the current No. 2. He is the team’s “Mike” linebacker, relaying defensive calls to the rest of the players on the field.
WR Hollywood Brown (2022-2023)
P Drew Butler (2014-2016)
QB Rich Bartel (2010-2011)
QB Brian St. Pierre (2009)
RB Charley Trippi (1952-1955)
No. 2 has barely been used in over 100 years of team history. Brown might have been the most impactful recent No. 2, though Wilson could become that. But we have to recognize Trippi, who is in the Hall of Fame. He didn’t only wear No. 2 in his career, though.
