As the Commanders prepare to kick off their season, they’re helping girls take the field too.
The Prince George’s County public high school girls’ flag football season is kicking off its inaugural season and the Commanders are giving a seven-figure commitment to helping grow the sport across the DMV.
The team hosted an NFL-style media day for the 26 high school girls’ football programs — 13 schools participated at Oxon Hill High School.
The ladies will receive new Nike uniforms. They also got the chance to pose in a professional photoshoot with a 360 camera experience.
The Prince George’s County Public Schools Girls Flag Football kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 9.
