NFL Week 1 best bets: Why we like Ravens, Lions and Steelers
Lorenzo Reyes is back for another season of best bets. He explains why he’s taking the Ravens over Bills, Lions over Packers and Steelers over Jets.
The Kansas City Chiefs set off on their quest to avenge their Super Bowl 59 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers
Kansas City’s last official appearance on a football field led to a drubbing at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in February. With a retooled offensive line and a (nearly) full complement of skill position players, the Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid partnership looks as dynamic as ever, on paper, as they kick off their 2025 slate.
They will face a tough task in Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers, however. The tough-nosed, smashmouth squad had a marked improvement in Year 1 under Harbaugh, with the squad finishing 11-6, good for second place in the AFC West.
Boasting one of the league’s better defensive units last season, Harbaugh will look to continue to tilt the power dynamic in the division towards the Bolts, and it starts in international territory on Friday night in Brazil.
USA TODAY Sports will provide live updates, highlights and more from the international matchup below. All times are Eastern.
