Questions abounded the entire offseason and then through training camp and the preseason about the Eagles’ depth at edge rusher.
Gone from the Super Bowl unit of a year ago was Josh Sweat, who led the team in sacks and was a defensive star in their Super Bowl rout of the Kansas City Chiefs. He had registered 43 sacks in his seven seasons with the Eagles and left as a free agent for Arizona, where he was reunited with former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, the head coach of the Cardinals.
