No. 6 Oregon faces its first test of the year as Big 12 foe Oklahoma State travels to Autzen Stadium. The Ducks and Cowboys have never played in the regular season, with the only previous matchup coming in a 2008 bowl game. The Ducks are heavy favorites in the midst of a 13-game regular season winning streak but start first-year quarterback Dante Moore and are still working through a stable of receivers and running backs.

Oklahoma State was in the Big 12 Championship Game two years ago but suffered their first losing season since 2005 in a disappointing 3-9 campaign. Cowboys coach Mike Gundy did not sit on his laurels, flipping 65 players and nine assistant coaches for the greatest transformation in program history. With opening day starting quarterback Hauss Hejny sidelined with a foot injury, No. 2 QB Zane Flores is set to start his first game.

The Cowboys and Ducks have both been defined by innovative offenses over the years, and that will be no different in 2025. However, Oregon’s defense could be the defining unit of the game as edge rusher Matayo Uiagalelei will attempt to set the tone for a potential playoff team.
