The Atlanta Falcons have announced two practice squad elevations ahead of their season-opening matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wide receiver David Sills V and running back Carlos Washington Jr. will join Atlanta’s 53-man roster for Sunday’s game.

Sills was released from the roster on Friday when the team signed defensive lineman Sam Roberts off the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad. The Falcons later signed Sills to the practice squad and released defensive lineman Simeon Barrow Jr. in a corresponding move.

Washington was one of the team’s surprise cuts at the 53-man deadline. Even though undrafted free agent Nate Carter beat out Washington for the team’s third running back spot in training camp, he may still get a chance to contribute in Week 1.

Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Check out the Falcons’ updated 53-man roster and practice squad for Week 1 below.
