NFL teams are allowed to elevate up to two players to the game-day roster each week, and those players do not have to clear waivers before returning to the practice squad. However, there is a three-elevation limit per player each season. Sunday will mark the first elevations of the year for Bailey and Prentice.
With Michael Burton on injured reserve and Nate Adkins sidelined with an ankle injury, Prentice will serve as the team’s fullback in Week 1. Bailey will give the team more depth at linebacker and on special teams while Dre Greenlaw works his way back from a quad injury.
Sunday’s game (2:05 p.m. MT) will be regionally televised on select Fox channels (view the TV broadcast map).
