Earlier on Saturday, the Tennessee Titans made a splash by inking safety Amani Hooker to a three-year contract extension ahead of their Week 1 tilt with the Denver Broncos.

Once that was complete, they turned their attention solely to the battle at hand in their opener and dipped into the practice squad for some reinforcements.

The Titans used a standard elevation to make center Corey Levin and defensive tackle Carlos Watkins available for Sunday. This is the first elevation for both players this season.

The elevation of Levin had been expected after he was signed back to the practice squad. With veteran center Lloyd Cushenberry still working his way back from an Achilles injury that cost him all preseason, Levin becomes an experienced rotational piece and quality insurance.

Watkins also adds an experienced defensive lineman to the rotation. With the game taking place at a higher elevation, conditioning may become a factor throughout the game.

The Titans will take on the Broncos on Sunday afternoon at Mile High Stadium in Week 1 action.
