The Cincinnati Bengals made the expected roster move ahead of the Week 1 clash with the Cleveland Browns.
There, the Bengals announced the elevation of defensive tackle Mike Pennel from the practice squad. A standard elevation, he’ll revert to the practice squad after the game.

The Bengals signed Pennel this past week after his departure from the Kansas City Chiefs and he’s since admitted he targeted the Bengals for a shot at the playoffs.
Pennel is a reliable veteran who figures to see numerous elevations from the practice squad this year if all goes well, never mind a potential spot on the 53 in time.
