✨Honesty crazy how razor thin the line is with victory & defeat in the NFL… & how much the refs matter. If Boz was human and actually missed that kick we lose that game because of a refs blown call. That was a OBVIOUS flag on that 3rd&long pass to @CalvinAustinIII #HereWeGo pic.twitter.com/vzs2kycFq9

Despite several self-inflicted wounds, the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to defeat the New York Jets 34-32, in large part thanks to a 60-yard field goal from Chris Boswell — which, if you ask Aaron Rodgers, was only necessary due to one missed call.

Following Pittsburgh’s victory, Rodgers addressed one of the worst no-calls of the game — the missed pass interference on Calvin Austin III late in the fourth quarter.

“We got hosed on a call there — that would have been able to run the clock out, probably,” Rodgers told reporters. “But Bos bailed us out with an amazing kick. So, it was a good team win.”

On the referenced no-call, Austin’s ability to catch the football was clearly interfered with, as the Jets cornerback was pulling him to the ground with the ball still in the air.

If any official had thrown the flag, Pittsburgh could have run out the clock as Rodgers alluded to, and given Boswell a far easier field goal attempt to work with.
