Former Pittsburgh Steelers punter Cameron Johnston has found a new home with a top contender in the AFC — the Buffalo Bills.
On Tuesday, reports surfaced that the Bills signed Johnston and subsequently waived P Brad Robbins — a ripple effect created by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ decision to move forward with P Corliss Waitman this season.
Despite Johnston’s short-lived Steel City tenure, his arrival was met with excitement, as he remains one of the most underrated punters in the NFL.

On a Bills team that just put up 41 points on the Baltimore Ravens’ fierce defense in Week 1, it’s safe to say Johnston won’t have his number called too often — but his presence on Buffalo’s special teams helps bolster an already stacked roster.
Johnston’s departure from Pittsburgh left many fans shocked, but the hang time on Waitman’s punts was too great for the Steelers to pass up.
